Dan on the Boat - "Old Hub"

“When my husband died a couple of years ago I was left with piles of papers and pictures that I knew would be important to preserve for our children and grandchildren . . . but I had no idea how to organize or save them.

In working with Dorothea Mordan of Chandler Designs, I was able to efficiently, professionally, and permanently preserve this record of my husband’s remarkable life. I had never heard of digital archiving, which provides the opportunity to safely compact, restore, retrieve and view any number of documents or photos. It was the perfect solution. The personal and interactive process Dorothea provided allowed me to preserve and pass on this priceless legacy.”

Penny McDougal, 2012

Tell your family story.

Lohrey Family Tree

Family stories are links to our past and inspiration for the future. Collect and preserve your family images, bring your stories to future generations. Display them elegantly against our original family tree back drop.

Photos and artifacts of memory and experience gather for all of our lives. Our own family history has personal meaning but the lessons learned from connections to the past benefit all of us.
This family tree was created from individually restored images, some over 100 years old. The pieces were put together in a single document which can be printed at virtually any size. We printed this repaired image as an archival giclée print and framed it to museum standards using one of our custom milled frames.

For your own family heirlooms you may bring us the original for scanning or send us a high resolution jpg by email.

Scotch Tape and missing pieces!

There are many forms of damage to family photos. The pair of photos below, of a dancer from the early 20th century, was torn and repaired with scotch tape.

Tiny Images!

Joe's school portrait, the only photograph our client has of their father.

The original image of Joe was under one half inch square! We brought it up to a beautiful 3 x 4 image.

This school photo of Joe can now be enlarged to over 11 x 14 for a beautiful portrait the family was not able to have before.
